Actor-Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar said that action is his favourite genre and he enjoyed doing his stunts in his upcoming movie Wazir.
“I have directed action films but did not act in it. There was a very good action team for this film (Wazir). It was the first time I was acting in an action film,” Farhan said.
“As a kid I have loved doing action. I used to roam in the house with a toy gun thinking villains are around. I even punched Zoya by mistake while doing one such action stuff. I was a filmy child,” the 41-year-old actor-director told reporters at the teaser launch event for Wazir.
In Wazir Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a paralysed chess grandmaster while Farhan plays the role of a cop.
The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles. Farhan revealed he was in awe of Mr Bachchan during the shoot of the film.
“We have done a lot of readings together. When we were shooting together at his house, it took me some time to do the scene. Thankfully it demanded sir (Amitabh Bachchan) to speak more dialogues and I was in awe of him. And it is one of the best scenes from the film,” the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor said.
Farhan is also excited about the release of his film Dil Dhadakane Do which will hit the screens on June 5.
“I hope everyone likes me and other actors in the film. We had kept screening of the film and people loved the film and Zoya’s work as a director,” he said.
