On Day 1 of the shooting, director Aanand L Rai shot in the heart of Hazratganj, at Luv and Kush Bhargava’s home, which was converted into Jimmy Sheirgill’s house for the scene. According to writer Himanshu Sharma, the sequel begins from where the first movie had ended, with Tanu and Manu’s wedding at Safed Baradari in Qaiserbagh. “This movie is the story of Tanu and Manu’s life four years hence,” informed Himanshu. Rai, on the other hand, said he was glad to be back in Lucknow. “Thank you for having us back in this beautiful city of yours,” said he.
