Actor Ali Fazal, who will be seen in the Fukrey sequel, said that the film’s team had been urging director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba to make another “masterpiece.”
Fukrey, which released in 2013, featured actors Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha.
“I am thrilled to hear about this. I think in our own ways, we have been egging Mrig to bring out another masterpiece. So finally some ideas came together and Fukrey Part 2 has come into being. I think we will begin in August. So, I am trying to wrap up all my movie work before that so that I have enough time to prepare for the second part,” Ali said in a statement.
Ali has featured in films like Bobby Jasoos and Khaamoshiyan.
