Haseena Parkar box office collection day 2: Shraddha Kapoor‘s physical appearance as Haseena Parkar, the don or as the makers call her ‘Queen of Mumbai’, has impressed the audience enough but would it be able to stand stable against films like Newton and Bhoomi?
Shraddha Kapoor as Haseena Parkar had a lasting impression on the audience as far as the appearance is concerned but it did not take a long time to realise that the actor’s character does not have the kind of depth it deserved or required. As per many critics and reviews, Shraddha and the script, both have failed to keep up to the subject, which could have been dealt with in better ways. However, the film has shown improvement at the box office. The film, which opened with Rs 1.87 crore, has collected Rs 2.60 crore on the second day, topping the collection to Rs 4.47 crore. But the bigger question is, would the film survive at the box office for a longer duration?

Shraddha Kapoor‘s Haseena Parkar lands in trouble with a criminal complaint filed against the actor and the producer. M&M Designs, which supplied dresses for Kapoor in the film, has accused the team of cheating and criminal breach of trust for not promoting their brand during promotional events.
A clothing manufacturer has filed a complaint against actor Shraddha Kapoor and one of the producers of the upcoming film ‘Haseena Parkar’ accusing them of cheating and criminal breach of trust. The criminal complaint has been filed against Shraddha Kapoor for allegedly not promoting fashion label ‘AJTM’ during the promotional activities of the film in violation of an agreement.

Shraddha Kapoor who will soon be seen in ‘Haseena Parkar’, thinks the challenge for her is to do better work and make improvement in her craft. The actor will also be seen in the biopic of Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal and in ‘Saaho’ along with Prabhas.
Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is looking forward to begin work on ‘Saaho’ and ‘Saina’, says the genre of a film is not the real challenge and that it lies in improving her work with every project. Shraddha, who is busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Haseena Parkar’, was asked whether she prefers doing romantic films or intense movies.
She told media persons here,”Each film has its own challenge. I can’t say doing love stories is difficult or doing intense films is difficult. I think the challenge for me is to do better work and make improvement in my craft.”

Jiah Khan case: HC directs lower court to proceed with trial against Sooraj Pancholi

The Bombay High Court has directed a lower court to proceed with the trial against actor Sooraj Pancholi, who was accused of abetting the suicide of his then actor girlfriend Jiah Khan in the year 2013. Jiah Khan had worked in popular movies like, Ghajini, Housefull, to name a few.
The Bombay High Court today directed a lower court to proceed with the trial against actor Sooraj Pancholi, accused of abetting the suicide of his actor girlfriend Jiah Khan in 2013. A division bench of Justices R M Savant and Sandeep Shinde was hearing a petition filed by Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan seeking appointment of advocate Dinesh Tiwari as special public prosecutor in the matter.
Rabia in her petition claimed that she did not want the prosecuting agency CBI’s counsel to conduct the trial on behalf of the prosecution as she did not agree with the CBI’s conclusion that Jiah had committed suicide. Rabia has been claiming that Jiah was murdered by Sooraj.

Arjun Kapoor to ‘Half Girlfriend’ Shraddha: Let’s Play

Actor Arjun Kapoor started filming Mohit Suri’s upcoming romantic film Half Girlfriend, an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name, in Delhi on Wednesday.

An excited Chetan, who is one of the producers of the film, shared a picture from the sets which shows Arjun as Madhav Jha in action:

In the novel, Madhav (played by Arjun) gets into St Stephens, Delhi University through the Sports quota as he is good at basketball. Arjun reportedly trained with a basketball team from USA to perfect the sport.

Arjun stars opposite Bollywood busy bee Shraddha Kapoor, who plays Riya Somani, also a basketball player.

Shraddha was last seen in Baaghi, which had a successful run at the box office. She’s had a busy schedule with Farhan Akhtar‘s Rock On 2!! and Karan Johar‘s OK Jaanu, a remake of Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani. In the film, she stars with Aditya Roy Kapur, her co-star of Aashiqui 2.

Meanwhile, Arjun’s last release, R Balki’s Ki And Ka, with Kareena Kapoor Khan, tanked at the box office.

Half Girlfriend, produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, is scheduled to release in April next year.

Shraddha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur Wrap Ok Jaanu

Filmmaker Shaad Ali’s film Ok Jaanu, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, has been wrapped.

Ok Jaanu is a remake of the hit Tamil film Ok Kanmani. Aditya and Shraddha have featured together in the hit film Aashiqui 2.

On Instagram, Shraddha shared a picture with the cast and crew of the film.

Produced by Karan Johar, Ok Jaanu revolves around a young couple and deals with the subject of live-in relationships.

Ok Jaanu is scheduled to release on January 13, 2017.

There May be a Sequel to Shraddha and Tiger’s Baaghi, Hints Director

Filmmaker Sabbir Khan says “casual conversations” have started in the Baaghi team to make a sequel, after a good response to the action-drama. The film starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, Baaghi released on April 29.

“A lot of fans have been asking for it. Now it has become a casual conversation in the team that may be we might do a sequel. Like Baaghi happened organically, it (sequel) should happen the same way,” Sabbir told PTI in an interview.

The director says he will “definitely” try to come up with something nice for all the love that audience has given to the film.

“We need to get the right story, not do it just because we want to do it as a project, then there’s no fun. People have loved it so much, so it is our responsibility to give them a good film. We will definitely try to do something nice,” he said.

In Baaghi, Tiger was seen doing Kalaripayattu, a martial art form and indulged in many intense action scenes.

Sabbir said that there are “healthy talks” between him and the 26-year-old actor for a possible sequel.

“Tiger and I don’t take each other for granted. We both are very competitive, want to push and raise the bar. There are healthy talks, everybody wants Baaghi 2, that’s the word going around now. So, casual conversations have started.”

The action-drama has not only netted solid collections but has also been praised for its stylised action sequences.

Sabbir, who made his debut as director with Kambakkht Ishq, feels action films do not get the due respect and says he never makes a movie for “good reviews.”

“An action film or a comedy where you are trying to make a mainstream film never gets the sort of respect it needs. But at the end of the day, I am a filmmaker, who will make the film for the audience. I am not making it for somebody to write a good review. That is wrong,” he said.

The Heropanti director says today there is an added pressure on a director to keep a tab at the box office even though he or she may not want to.

“I am not a numbers guy but you can’t run away from it now. Somebody or the other is always posting on social media, calling you with the numbers. There is box office pressure today, but we went there smiling. We didn’t think it will happen but it did. So even in the future, I hope I don’t think about numbers and make a film, but make it genuinely,” he said.

OK, This is What Shraddha Kapoor is Upto These Days

Actor Shraddha Kapoor has been earning plaudits for her recent release Baaghi, but instead of celebrating the success, the actress is already in work mode. She has started shooting for her next OK Jaanu.

The actress has been receiving a lot of praise and appreciation for her performance in Baaghi, which released on April 29.

Even on the day of the release of Baaghi, Shraddha was shooting for other commitments. She shot for a few brand endorsements and then started shooting OK Jaanu in Mumbai.

The daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor shared that she might not have been able to get “first hand reactions”, but the team of the film, which also features Tiger Shroff, has kept her in the loop.

“I would have loved to go theatre hopping to take first hand reactions from the audiences as that is the best gift you can get. But unfortunately I haven’t been able to do that owing to other commitments. Everyone from the team has been making up for it by sending me the recordings of the reactions. It’s absolutely delightful,” Shraddha said in a statement.

OK Jaanu is a remake of the Tamil super hit OK Kanmani. The original, which was directed by Mani Ratnam, featured Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon in lead roles. The Hindi version of the film will also star Aditya Roy Kapoor.

OK Jaanurevolves around the lives of two young lovers and depicts the issue of live-in relationships.

After Baaghi, Shraddha also has Rock On 2 in the pipeline.

Shraddha Inspires to ‘be a Rebel’ in Baaghi Poster, Courtesy Tiger

The ‘Rebels in Love’, Baaghi co-stars Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff, took turns to share the teaser posters of the movie for each other on their respective birthdays. Tiger, who turned a year older on March 2, revealed another poster featuring birthday girl Shraddha on Thursday, with the signature Baaghi tag ‘#BeARebel’.

Tiger, 26, collaborates for the second time with director Sabbir Khan for Baaghi after 2014 movie Heropanti. The 27-year-old actress, who was last seen in 2015′s ABCD2, also has Farhan Akhtar‘s Rock 2! lined up for 2016. Meanwhile, Tiger will feature as a superhero in Remo D’Souza’s A flying Jatt this year.
