Today’s Big Release: Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3

The much-awaited film Housefull 3 releases today. Directed by Sajid-Farhad, Housefull 3 features an ensemble cast starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Lisa Haydon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri.

Housefull 3 is the third instalment in the Housefull franchise. Abhishek, in a recent interview, said that he was nervous about the film. “I was very nervous. When you are working on a franchise, which is so immensely successful, you don’t want to let down fans of Housefull,” Abhishek had told news agency IANS.

Raaz Reboot, which is a fourth instalment in the Raaz series, will also release today. It stars Emraan Hashmi and Kriti Kharbanda.

Ninja Turtles, Me Before You and The Nice Guys will represent the Hollywood section.

Thea Sharrock’s Me Before You casts Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin. It narrates the story of a girl who falls for a paralyzed man whom she has been nursing.

Shane Black’s The Nice Guys stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling and Angourie Rice in pivotal roles.

It’s a Boy. Genelia and Riteish Welcome Second Child, a Brother For Riaan

Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh welcomed their second child, a son, late Tuesday-early Wednesday. Their older son, one-year-old Riaan, is now learning to share:

Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh met while filming 2003 movie Tujhe Meri Kasam and married in 2012.

Riaan was born in 2014.

Riteish, last seen in 2015′s Bangistan, stars in this week’s Housefull 3 and September’s Banjo.

The Reason Why Sajid Khan Did Not Direct Housefull 3

Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who had directed Housefull and Housefull 2, chose to step out of Housefull 3 himself, says producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

“Sajid Khan didn’t want to direct Housefull 3 because he was busy with Himmatwala at that time. Besides, this is a difficult genre to write also,” said Sajid Nadiadwala.

“After sometime, they also say that we don’t want to because the genre gets saturated. So, it becomes difficult to edit and make a trailer for this film. Usually, a writer, after one or two films gets into a saturation mode,” added Mr Nadiadwala.

Housefull 3, featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon, has been directed by Sajid-Farhad.

Housefull 3 is scheduled to release on June 3.

First Look: A Housefull in Part 3 With Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek

The makers of Housefull 3 have released the first look of the film on October 20.

Akshay can be seen in a sporty look with a football in his hand. Riteish and Abhishek on the other hand are dressed casually.

Directed by Sajid-Farhad, Housefull 3 is expected to release next year.

Riteish Deshmukh’s Message to Genelia Will Make You Smile

Actor Riteish Deshmukh posted a romantic message to wife Genelia D’Souza on social media. Riteish, 37, Instagrammed a photo of him and Genelia holding hands at a party in honour of designer Vikram Phadnis.

Genelia, 28, is reportedly pregnant for the second time and, if you look carefully, her black and gold anarkali appears to cover a baby bump. (Also Read: Genelia D’Souza Spotted With Baby Bump at a Party)

Riteish and Genelia first co-starred in 2003 film Mujhe Teri Kasam. They were last seen together in 2012 movie Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and they married the same year.

Genelia gave birth to their first child, Riaan, in November 2014.

Last seen in Bangistan, Riteish has signed up for Housefull 3 and Bank Chor.

Riteish Deshmukh’s Bangistan Banned in UAE

Bangistan producer Ritesh Sidhwani said that the film has been denied entry in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Directed by Karan Anshuman, Bangistan features Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film has been banned by the UAE censor board which found the content of the film as offensive. They have raised a strong objection to the release of the film, according to a statement from the film’s representative.

“It is very disappointing that the censor board finds the film offensive as there is no such content in the film. We shall be sending it to the re-examining committee,” said Ritesh.

The film, which was mostly shot in Poland and Ladakh, is about two suicide bombers, Hafeez Bin Ali Ishwarchand Sharma (Riteish) and Allah Rakha Khan Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit), who have been brainwashed into an explosive mission but eventually realise that the death wish is a futile exercise.

Bangistan is scheduled to release in India on August 7.

Riteish Deshmukh: Bangistan Doesn’t Have to Make Rs 100 Crores to be Hit

The standard measure of a hit film in Bollywood has been raised from Rs 100 crores to Rs 300 crores, but Bangistan actor Riteish Deshmukh said that they’re not expecting the film to even touch the lower mark.

When asked about this box office obsession, Riteish told IANS: “When you sign a film, you are aware what range the film can touch. If you do Housefull and Grand Masti and they collect Rs 100 crores, you can expect the next one to do similar business. But when we do Bangistan, we’re not expecting the film to touch Rs 100 crores because for this film to be successful, it doesn’t need to reach that figure. Every film has a budget and a certain target audience in mind and the Rs 100-crore mark is not necessary for every film to be successful.”

The film, directed by debutant Karan Anshuman, also stars Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez and is releasing on July 31.

Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat’s Bangistan to release July 31

Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat’s Bangistan is all set to release July 31.

In the film the actors play a role of aspiring terrorist who have same plan but are clueless. The movie will also see leggy-lass Jacqueline Fernandez. The film was earlier slated for April release.

While Riteish plays a fumbling Hindu fundamentalist, Pulkit plays a clumsy Muslim one.

Directed by critic-turned-filmmaker Karan Anshuman, the film is produced by Farhan Akhtar‘s Excel Entertainment and Junglee Pictures. The film is set to release on April 17, 2015.
