After the trailer, now Dil Dhadakne Do title track is out featuring Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.

It is a peppy number sung by Priyanka and Farhan. Priyanka has not just sung for herself but also for Anushka Sharma and Farhan has lend her voice to Ranveer and Anil Kapoor too. Although we feel, neither Priyanka’s voice is suiting Anushka nor Farhan’s voice is suiting Anil Kapoor. We wonder whose idea was it to make Anil Kapoor lip-sync Farhan Akhtar‘s voice.

Dil Dhadakne Do Title Song Out Today; Singer Priyanka Chopra Counts Down

The Twitter blitz that is heralding the arrival of director Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do has swelled to include the release of its first song, expected at 4pm today.

Priyanka Chopra, star of Dil Dhadakne Do and singer of its title track, made the most recent announcement on Twitter, with a photo of her co-star Farhan Akhtar who also duets on the song.

Both actors are accomplished singers with musical careers of their own. This will be Priyanka’s first foray into singing playback – Farhan has sung in films like Rock On!! and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ trailer garners over one million views

The theatrical trailer of “Dil Dhadakne Do” has been viewed over one million times on YouTube in less than 24 hours of its release online, and the numbers are only growing with plaudits from commoners as well as celebrities.

The Zoya Akhtar directorial is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise across the Mediterranean.

The trailer, which was unveiled on Wednesday, shows actors Anil Kapoor, in salt and pepper look, and Shefali Shah as parents of Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh. While the parents want Ranveer’s character to get hitched, they hope their daughter doesn’t split from her husband, played by Rahul Bose.

Ranveer Singh is known for his quirky fashion sense. The actor never shies away from experimenting his looks and clothes but in his upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do the actor will be seen in simple casual look.

The actor has revealed his look from the film on Twitter. He is seen wearing a white round neck tee shirt paired with grey denims and loafers. Like Anil Kapoor in his first look from the film, Ranveer too is posing on a cruise deck.

Ranveer will essay the role of Kabir Mehra and as the film revolves around a family on cruise holiday, he will be seen in simple resort wear ensembles.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma will reportedly lip-sync a number crooned by Priyanka Chopra in Dil Dhadakne Do.

A leading tabloid quoted a source as saying, “Priyanka has lent her voice to the title track – it is a duet with Farhan Akhtar. The song will feature her as well as Anushka, and has been shot aboard the cruise liner that forms the backdrop of the film. Anushka had absolutely no qualms about lip-syncing to Priyanka’s song.”

Confirming the exciting combination, Farhan said: “Yes, Priyanka and I have sung a duet in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.”

So far, Farhan has only rendered solo songs in “Rock On!!”, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and “Shaadi Ke Side Effects”.

According to sources, the duo has sung a “smouldering smoky love ballad steeped in nostalgia and longing”.

Needless to say the song has been filmed on Farhan and Priyanka, as neither actor-turned-singer is willing to playback for other actors.

For Zoya Akhtar’s film Dil Dhadakne Do, which is currently under production, the two exes have apparently shot some super intimate scenes, including passionate kisses and lovemaking.

This film will be the first time the two actors will come together on the silver screen after they parted ways.

The last time Ranveer and Anushka had gotten together for a film was in 2011, for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. Before that, the two were seen in Band Baaja Baarat (2010). The actors had reportedly been dating from the time of Band Baaja Baarat, but never quite went on the record accepting the fact that they were in a relationship.
