Vogue Women of the Year Awards 2017 winners: While Anushka Sharma won the Vogue and BMW Game Changer of The Year award, Sonam Kapoor received the Vogue and IWC Fashion Icon Of The Year award. Others winners were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Twinkle Khanna and Karan Johar.
It was yet another awards night for our Bollywood biggies. While we saw all of them put their best fashion foot forward on the red carpet, the full list of winners at the Vogue Women of the Year Awards 2017 is here. PK strikes gold overseas, team to throw success bash

The huge success of PK in India and overseas has given a reason to the cast and crew of the film to throw a success bash on June 10.

PK is a political satire, hitting out at corruption in the country. Director Rajkumar Hirani has stated that the film is a satire on “God and godmen”

PK, which features Aamir Khan in the role of an alien who questions the existence of godmen, has gone on to mint Rs 620 crore globally and is said to be the highest ever by any Bollywood film.

Hrithik, Shahid, Anushka to perform at IPL opening ceremony

Bollywood stars Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Pritam and Hrithik Roshan are all set to light up the stage at the 2015 Indian Premier League (IPL) Opening Ceremony at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Tuesday.

According to a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) release, the entertainers will come together to mark the start of the eighth season of the cash-rich Twenty20 league with the evening proceedings being hosted by actor Saif Ali Khan.

All eight team captains will be present to take the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Spirit of Cricket pledge. Gautam Gambhir, captain of defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, will put the trophy back in play, signalling the start of the 2015 season.

Bring out the Band Baaja, actresses Deepika Padukone appear to be friends. Because only friends would greet each other with the sort of effusiveness that was on display at Mumbai’ Sun-n-Sand Hotel on March 16. Deepika and Anushka, who were part of a Bollywood delegation discussing Censor Board issues with I&B Minister of State Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, hugged each other with twinkly-eyed affection and posed for pictures together.

Deepika and Anushka are rumoured to be actor Ranveer Singh‘s current and former girlfriends, respectively. While that might not be reason enough to presume a big chill between the actresses, it appeared that Anushka, for one, was not overly keen to be buddies till some time ago. When Deepika claimed a friendship with Anushka on TV show Koffee With Karan, Anushka disagreed. On a separate episode of the show, she told host Karan Johar, “I don’t think she’s a friend, she’s not an enemy though. Friend is a very big thing, Karan. I have five friends who I’ve known for so many years. It’s not like we call each other or we talk. We chat, we send messages but that doesn’t mean we talk ill about one another, or we hate one another. I guess when she said that she just meant to say that I’m not her enemy, I guess that’s what she meant.”

Anushka Sharma’s NH10 Mints Rs 7.85 Cr on Opening Weekend

Actress Anushka Sharma‘s thriller NH10, which opened on a low note, picked up pace on and minted Rs 7.85 crore on the opening weekend.

NH10, Anushka’s production debut, sheds light on honour-killing and the plight of women in a male-dominated society. The plot revolves around a couple whose road trip goes awry after being attacked by a group of criminals. Directed by Navdeep Singh, NH10 stars Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumaar in pivotal roles.

NH10 has been co-produced by Eros International, Phantom and Clean Slate.

Shah Rukh Khan is returning to the small tube with a new TV game show India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun and the actor is currently busy shooting for his TV show as well as his film Fan. And, to add some glamour quotient his close friends Karan Johar and Farah Khan were spotted on the sets of the show. Along with them, Anushka Sharma and Alia Bhatt also dropped in to become a part of the show.

After ‘PK’, Anushka Sharma is now creating waves with her upcoming production venture, ‘NH10’. The film, which also has the actress playing the female lead, has been getting some rave reviews with regards to the recently launched trailer.

After launching the first look of Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Bombay Velvet’, the makers of the film have now released Anushka Sharma’s appearance in the film. The actress took to Twitter to share the first glimpse of her look from the Anurag Kashyap film, in which she plays a Jazz singer.

Based on Gyan Prakash’s book ‘Mumbai Fables’, ‘Bombay Velvet’ set in early 1950′s , will see Ranbir as a street fighter. The screenplay is jointly written by Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Vikramaditya Motwane. The film also features KJo, Remo Fernandes, Kay Kay Menon, Vivaan Shah and others. Produced by Phantom Films and Fox Star Studious, ‘Bombay Velvet’ is slated to release on May 15, 2015.
