Republic Day 2015: Bollywood high on pride and nostalgia

0 3

On the country’s 66th Republic Day Monday, a host of film celebrities not just recounted their memories of watching the annual parade, but also tuned in to the colourful showcase of India’s culture, and expressed pride. On this special day, several of them wished that peace and unity prevailed in the country and around the world, always. The day saw US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle share the podium with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Republic Day parade in Delhi.

The stars took to Twitter to share their wishes. Here’s what they had to say:

Shah Rukh Khan: Memories and Pride watching the Parade on TV. Missing my family and how we went to watch the parade from the Freedom Fighters section. Jai Hind!
