Is Ayushmann Khurrana Working With Shoojit Sircar Again? ‘Of Course’

0 10

After making a promising debut with Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor, actor Ayushmann Khurrana is looking forward to reteam with the director again.

“Of course, Shoojit and I are working together. We have been discussing a lot of stuff and soon we will team again. As far as Abra Ka Dabra is concerned, till the time Shoojit is not happy with the script the film will not go on floors,” Ayushmann told PTI.

The actor, whose last film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, produced by the Yash Raj Films, was a sleeper hit, has also signed another project with the banner.

“I think playing relatable character always works, it’s good to have such roles. I come from a theatre background and theatre connects with audience. It was the similar case with Dum Laga Ke Haisha. It deals with the chemistry between two completely opposite people. The film was based in nineties, yet it had a progressive outlook,” he said on the sidelines of Jagran Film Festival in New Delhi. He was here to attend the screening of Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Ayushmann, who started his career with a reality show before making it big as an actor in Bollywood, wrote Cracking the Code, a handbook for newcomers.

“My book is all about real life incidents which I experienced. It is not about my success or failure. It’s about my journey to Bollywood not journey in Bollywood. It is just the beginning,” the actor said.

Ayushmann said he believes that the nature of struggle has changed in the industry as even big studios are willing to take a chance with newcomers.
