It was almost full house at actor-director Randhir Kapoor’s 69th birthday party on February 15. Most of Bollywood’s sprawling dynasty was present, from Mr Kapoor’s siblings to his daughters.
Images posted in Instagram by Randhir Kapoor’s sister-in-law Neetu Kapoor and fan clubs show the birthday boy and his guests. In the family photo, Mr Kapoor poses with his cake and is surrounded by wife Babita, daughters Karisma and Kareena, Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan, brother Rishi and sister-in-law Neetu, sisters Rima and Ritu, their children Nitasha, Armaan and Aadar, Rima’s husband Manoj Jain. The most senior Kapoor present was Randhir’s late uncle Shammi’s wife Neela Devi. Kanchan, Shammiji’s daughter with first wife Geeta Bali, attended with husband Ketan Desai. Shashi Kapoor, Raj Kapoor’s only surviving brother, was represented by his son Kunal.

Notable absentees included Rishi Kapoor’s children Ranbir and Riddhima, Nitasha Nanda’s brother Nikhil, Kunal’s sister Sanjana, Kanchan’s brother Aditya Raj and, of course, the Kapoor matriarch Krishna Raj Kapoor.
