A letter that actress Sushmita Sen wrote to her elder daughter Renee in 2013 has been posted on Instagram and is filled with inspiring words and snippets of advice that daughters everywhere should read.
Ms Sen, 40, wrote Renee, now 16, the letter when she was leaving for boarding school and explains that she is now making it public at the behest of her daughter. So, thank you, Renee.

Sushmita Sen’s letter also reassures Renee that her mother and ‘baby sister’ Alisah, 7, love her the most.

Much of what is in the letter was reiterated recently when Ms Sen spoke at her daughter’s Annual Day in school.
Sushmita Sen, a former Miss Universe, made her film debut in 1996 with Dastak and has featured in movies like Sirf Tum, Biwi No 1, Main Hoon Na and Bewafaa.
Sushmita was last seen in 2015′s Bengali film Nirbaak.
