This story has its heart in the right place, mind all over the place, and finger on the wrong pulse. ‘Ungli‘ is socially relevant, earnest in delivering a strong message, albeit, the weak execution doesn’t support the larger intent.

Abhay (Randeep) a crime journalist, Maya (Kangana) a medical intern, Goti (Neil) a computer hardware expert, and Kalim (Angad) a garage owner – are four buddies so enraged with our corrupt system that they show law-makers the middle finger and then take law into their own hands.

Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda’s ‘Ungli’, Mannara’s ‘Zid’ release today

We have three very interesting films releasing this Friday – multi-starrer ‘Ungli’, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara’s debut film, ‘Zid’ and Adil Hussain’s political satire, ‘Zed Plus’.

‘Ungli’ has been delayed for more than a year now. However, with big names like Sanjay Dutt, Emraan Hashmi and Randeep Hooda, the Dharma production venture should do fairly well.

The film revolves around five friends who have decidedly grown tired of corruption and the passive government. They take the law in their own hands, serving justice to those who deserve it.

New Trailer: Emraan, Kangana Only Need An Ungli To Fight Corruption

Sometimes all you need to fight corruption is an Ungli (finger). Filmmaker Karan Johar‘s latest offering to moviegoers takes a rather cheeky route to fighting corruption.

The just-released trailer of the film stars actors Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam and Angad Bedi as the Ungli gang which has taken upon themselves the task of fighting corruption and found a ‘middle’ way.

The trailer starts on a hilarious note where an autorickshaw driver is kidnapped and transported to another state via a goods train to make a statement about the rampant corruption among the autowalas who charge exorbitantly and refuse to go by the meter.

Karan Johar, who specialises in producing romantic films featuring conventional stars, has indeed something new to offer this time.The filmmaker took to Twitter to share the first motion poster of his next- ‘Ungli’- which stars actors who would rarely be expected to be a part of a Karan Johar film.

With Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut, Neil Bhoopalam, Angad Bedi and Sanjay Dutt on board the film, KJo is certainly planning to stun us all.
