Destination wedding drama Shaandaar starring actors Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is all set to hit theatres on September 4, 2015. The film, which is directed by Vikas Bahl of Queen fame, is being co-produced by filmmaker Karan Johar‘s Dharma productions and Phantom films.

he shooting of the film began in September last year. The film also stars actors Pankaj and Sanjay Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Actor-turned-producer Sanjay Kapoor says the audience will love his character in Vikas Bahl‘s upcoming “fun film” titled Shaandaar.

Talking about his role in Shaandaar, he said: “It’s about a destination wedding, it’s a fun film. And you will love my character. My character is too funny. You will only be looking at me. You will either like or hate me.”

Shandaar also features Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Asked him why he is seen less on the big screen, the Sirf Tum actor said: “I kept on doing films, but I didn’t want to do a film where I am part of the furniture. I don’t mean that I should only be the main guy. It could be a film like ‘Luck By Chance’, which had a nice ensemble cast.”

Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Shaandaar’ almost done!

Shahid Kapoor , who has been receiving appreciation for his spellbinding performance in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider’, is almost about to complete shooting for his next- ‘Shaandaar’.

The actor took to Twitter to write that the film is nearing completion and that he is heading to Poland to film the remaining part of flick which also stars Alia Bhatt and his real life father Pankaj Kapoor.
