Now Mirror has learnt that fashion designer and actress Pernia Qureshia recently auditioned for the role along with 160 other girls. Confirming this, Pernia who makes her acting debut in Muzaffar Ali’s period drama, Jaanisar, in which she plays a courtesan, says, “Yes, I have auditioned for the film. It’s not the role of Farhan’s (Akhtar) wife played by Prachi (Desai). It’s a new role and I have my fingers crossed.”
