The film is expected to release on February 13, 2015, the report stated. ‘Breach of peace and threat to social harmony’ was cited as one of the reasons to stop the screening of the movie, as per reports. In his defence, Ram Rahim had said that there is nothing objectionable in his movie, adding that there was not a ‘single word against any religion, caste or community’ in the film. The report quoted Ram Rahim as saying that the film will not promote any superstition or obscurantism and is based on real incidents.

“The screening of the film is likely to evoke strong emotional reactions leading to public display of conflicting emotions. The government cannot allow the chain of actions and reactions to pose a threat to peace and social harmony of the state,” a press statement from the government yesterday said.

According to reports, A number of board’s examining committee members have taken exception to Ram Rahim Singh, depicting himself as god in the film.

The board member apparently have objections to Ram Rahim being shown to be performing miracles and curing terminal diseases.

Mumbai tabloid Mid-Day quoted a committee member as saying, “The godman has showed himself as god and the film looks more of an advertisement. Besides, some scenes show miracles taking place which are not substantiated by logic.”
