Details of Lisa’s role in filmmaker Karan Johar‘s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, are shrouded in secrecy.

Lisa also said that she was shy around Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is also a part of the film.

“I was shy around Aishwarya because of her beauty, poise and general awesomeness. Anushka is completely straightforward, professional and easy to work with. And Ranbir is cool. It was a good laugh doing this character with him,” Lisa told IANS in an email interview from Mumbai.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is scheduled to release on October 28. Lisa did not disclose details about her role. “I got a real kick out of playing this character. I think that is all I should share,” she said.

For now, Lisa is co-judging India’s Next Top Model with celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani while VJ Anusha Dandekar and grooming expert Neeraj Gaba will be the mentors of the contestants.

On what basis will she pick the contestants?

“It takes a lot more than beauty to be successful,” Lisa said, adding that the “winner will have to be hard working, determined, creative, know how to apply constructive criticism and think on their feet.”

Housefull 3 is the third instalment in the Housefull franchise. Abhishek, in a recent interview, said that he was nervous about the film. “I was very nervous. When you are working on a franchise, which is so immensely successful, you don’t want to let down fans of Housefull,” Abhishek had told news agency IANS.

Raaz Reboot, which is a fourth instalment in the Raaz series, will also release today. It stars Emraan Hashmi and Kriti Kharbanda.

Ninja Turtles, Me Before You and The Nice Guys will represent the Hollywood section.

Thea Sharrock’s Me Before You casts Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin. It narrates the story of a girl who falls for a paralyzed man whom she has been nursing.

Shane Black’s The Nice Guys stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling and Angourie Rice in pivotal roles.

“People did not perceive me as someone who could act and Queen was my opportunity to show them that I am not just a model as I can play a character too,” Lisa told IANS.

“I believe in something called the big break. Aisha was a small role but Queen is like my first film. People started believing in me after that,” she added.

Lisa, who made her acting debut with the 2010 film Aisha, made a career-defining move with the portrayal of Paris-based Bohemian single mother in Vikas Bahl‘s Queen.

She later on went on to feature in The Shaukeens and a few other movies.

When asked about how she looks at the competition in the film industry, Lisa said: “I don’t really feel like that. If there is a project that is meant for me, it will come my way. I know nobody can do what I do. I don’t believe in competition and there is enough work for everyone.”

Lisa is currently busy promoting her film Housefull 3, co-starring actors Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon.

The film is directed by Sajid-Farhad and will release on June 3.

KRK, clearly fuming over being called a #lowlife, directed a series of tweets at Lisa telling her, among other things, that he was a bigger star than she. Lisa did not respond.
