Speculations were rife that Katrina will be working with Kabir in his forthcoming film, Tube Light after she was spotted with him recently at an event.

“Katrina is not in the film. There will be someone else. We have not locked the actress yet,” industry sources said.

Tube Light will be Salman and Kabir’s third collaboration, who have earlier make hit films like Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 and last year’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

“The shoot begins by the end of July in Ladakh,” sources added. The film will also have Salman’s brother, Sohail playing his younger brother on the screen.

Tube Light, which will be Salman’s next Eid release, is a human story with a larger than life political backdrop.

Ranbir Kapoor, 33, and Katrina Kaif, 32, never admitted they were dating and didn’t confirm they had broken up, which reportedly happened early this year.

Jagga Jasoos reunites them on screen after 2010′s Raajneeti and 2009′s Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani, which was their first film together. Ranbir was last seen with former girlfriend Deepika Padukone in 2015′s Tamasha while Katrina’s last film was February’s Fitoor, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapoor.

“Since things went wrong between them, the duo has been keeping a distance from each other while maintaining a strictly professional equation. But they surprised everyone by deciding not to travel to Morocco together,” says a source.

Katrina is believed to have boarded a late night flight via London while Ranbir took off four hours earlier with a layover in Abu Dhabi. “The crew has already flown in to Morocco. It will be a 10-day schedule and the film’s much-delayed shoot will finally be wrapped up,” adds the source.

On Friday evening, Ranbir-Katrina had turned up for dance rehearsals for their film at a city studio and left separately too.

…Ranbir Kapoor was hanging out with his filmmaker pal Ayan Mukerji in Bandra on Saturday night when the paparazzi tailed him, leaving him furious, suggest reports.

The actor is said to have asked the shutterbugs not to follow him or else he would lodge a complaint with the police. An onlooker claims, “Ranbir stepped out of his car and confiscated a photographer’s cell phone. The hapless lensman informed his employer, who kept calling up the phone in Ranbir’s possession until it was switched off some time later. Following a text message to the actor’s number, Ranbir spoke to the employer at length and agreed to return the phone on the condition that he would not be chased in future.”

However, the very next day, Ranbir appeared to be in a much better mood when he was spotted at his customary Sunday football match with some of his buddies. When asked to pose for pictures, he happily obliged.

Says a source, “The shoot is taking place as per schedule and the producers are gearing up to launch the first teaser next month.”

Contrary to reports that the film’s Morocco schedule had been cancelled, the former couple is expected to fly out to the North African country in a fortnight or so. At a recent event too, Ranbir, who is co-producing the detective drama, had laid to rest rumours of the film getting delayed.

Corroborating the actor’s statement, a source working on the film says, “Yes, there were a few issues with the film but Ranbir and Katrina are thorough professionals and know what they need to do. Currently, the shoot of the film is going on and it will be ready for release in August. The post production work is also being carried out simultaneously, so there is nothing to worry.”

Ranbir and spokesperson of the production studio remained unavailable for comment.

Katrina and Aditya play Noor and Firdaus, the desi versions of Estella and Pip. Tabu is cast as Begum, the Indian Miss Havisham. A majority of the film has been shot in picturesque Kashmir.

Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam’s Sanam Re also releases today. Directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, the movie co-stars Rishi Kapoor in a key role.

Hollywood on the other hand, has a mix of movies to offer, with Deadpool, How to Be Single and Oscar nominated Trumbo releasing today. Actor Ryan Reynolds plays protagonist Deadpool in the much-anticipated superhero movie.

How to Be Single tracks the story of a group of friends, who are in search of love in the city of New York. Trumbo, starring veteran actor Bryan Cranston, who holds an Oscar nomination for Best Actor, is based on the life of Hollywood scriptwriter Dalton Trumbo, who was blacklisted and jailed in the anti-Communist era.
