Actor Varun Dhawan has called his Dishoom co-star John Abraham his “big brother”.

Since the trailer of Dishoom has passed 10 million views, the Badlapur actor treated his fans and followers with a question and answer session on Twitter.

The 29-year-old actor who will be seen playing a rookie police officer in brother Rohit Dhawan directed Dhishoom , shared with his fans that if he wakes up and finds out that he has turned into superstar Shah Rukh Khan, he would:

Dhishoom is set to release on July 29.

John Abraham’s ‘Guruji’ Akshay Kumar is a ‘More Successful Actor’

Actor John Abraham, who has done films like Garam Masala and Desi Boyz with Akshay Kumar, said that Akshay is a “self-made man” in Bollywood and is a “much more successful actor” than him.

“Akshay’s journey in the film industry has been very inspirational. He is a self-made man himself. He got into the industry around 1985 and I got in around 2003, but our journey has been similar. He is a much more successful actor than I am. I respect him a lot,” said John.

John also said that he learned about the comedy genre from Akshay.

“We have done three movies together – Garam Masala, Housefull 2 and Desi Boyz. I love comedy as a genre and whatever I have learned in comedy is from him. That is the reason why I call him guruji and he calls me sundi,” added John.

John is currently gearing up for his new film Rocky Handsome, which will release on March 25.

John Abraham: Akshay Kumar is Like My Elder Brother

Bollywood actor John Abraham, who has replaced Akshay Kumar in Welcome Back, says that their bond is still strong as ever.

“When I signed Welcome Back, the first person I called was Akshay. I don’t know how relationships pan out in our industry, but I love him. Akshay is like my elder brother. He was extremely happy. Further, he told me to do the film and also said that Anees bhai is a brilliant director. He was very excited and encouraging,” said John.

John and Akshay have worked together in Garam Masala, Housefull 2 and Desi Boyz.

“I have worked with Akshay in several films and have also learned a lot from him. In case, there is a first trial of the film, we would perhaps call Akshay first as he will be very happy to attend it. I am happy to have found a good friend in Akshay and we have a beautiful relationship,” added John.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Welcome Back, which is a sequel to the 2007 blockbuster comedy Welcome, is slated to hit the theatres on September 4.

Katrina Kaif and John Abraham to work again in Force 2?

If filmmaker Vipul Shah has his way, John Abraham and Katrina Kaif will come together for a film after New York. The actors may be ssen together in Force 2.

According to a report in DNA, Force 2 will star John Abraham in the leading role and Katrina is one of the strongest contenders for main lead opposite John. The film may go on floors by August.

Vipul who last worked with Katrina in Namastey London wants her to be the leading lady of the film.

“I would love to have Katrina in most of my films I do or maybe in all the films I do. She is a very talented actress and my absolute favourite but we haven’t spoken to any actress yet. So far, we are still deciding. We haven’t reached the stage of casting. Obviously Katrina is one of the strongest contenders but we haven’t decided on anything yet,” DNA quoted Vipul Shah.

John Abraham returns with Force 2

While Force was a remake of Tamil movie Kaakha Kaakha, Force 2 will have an original script and will be produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The female lead has not been finalised yet but will likely be a new face as Genelia D’Souza, the female lead in Force, was shown dead.

John Abraham, Anil Kapoor to join Amitabh Bachchan in Aankhen 2

The Aankhen sequel will finally see the light of the day and the makers have also locked the star cast for the film. Aankhen 2 will see Amitabh Bachchan reprising his role and John Abraham and Anil Kapoor will also be a part of the sequel.

John Abraham will play a blind man in the sequel to the 2002 hit film. Anees Bazmee, who will direct the sequel, has finalised the script and will start shooting for the film. Aankhen 2 will start from where the original left.

We have learnt that after an eight-year gap, Firoz Nadiadwala is soon going to be back with the third film in his hit comedy franchise Hera Pheri.

The film currently titled Hera Pheri 3 will once again be directed by Neeraj Vora and has managed a coup by getting the Dostana boys John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan as leading men, in addition to Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, who will continue from the original trio.

John Abraham Signs Telugu Actor Harshvardhan Rane For Two More Films

Telugu actor Harshvardhan Rane, who is making his Bollywood debut in John Abraham’s home production Satra Ko Shaadi Ho, has been signed on for two more yet-untitled projects by the banner.

“I signed all the three films long back. I didn’t want to jinx it by announcing (it earlier). It was an honour to be launched by John’s production in Bollywood, and to be doing two more films under the same banner is even more exciting,” Harshvardhan told IANS.

While the actor awaits the release of Satra Ko Shaadi Hai, he’s yet to start shooting for the other two projects.

Harshvardhan, who is equally busy in Telugu filmdom, says he has no plans of shifting to Mumbai.
