Bigg Boss fans fasten up your seat belts. The makers have announced a new concept show that will run parallel to the main season currently on air.

The main show which runs on weekdays at 9 pm will be ending as per scheduled. The new spin-off show will be introduced with four ex-contestants Sambhavna Seth, Ajaz Khan, Rahul Mahajan and Mahek Chahal vying for the prize money.

While not much is known about the new show, Colors channel has unveiled a sneak peek into it. The show features Sambhavna Seth, Ajaz Khan, Rahul Mahajan and Mahek Chahal and will air from Jan 4.

Rumours are abuzz that the spin off will consist of five champions from the current show and five challengers. Talks are on with Imam Siddiqui and Dolly Bindra to join the challengers’ group.

‘Bang Bang’ turned down ‘Bigg Boss’ offer?

TV shows are considered an important platform to promote a film before its release, thanks to its wider reach. However, it seems that the “Bang Bang” team reportedly doesn’t agree with the theory and turned down an invitation to promote the Hrithik Roshan-starrer on “Bigg Boss 8″.

If sources are to be believed, Hrithik has decided to skip reality TV show platforms to market his film. A source close to the industry said: “‘Bigg Boss‘ team had approached the team of ‘Bang Bang‘ to promote their film during the launch of ‘Bigg Boss‘ show, but ‘Bang Bang‘ team politely refused it.

SRK open to promoting ‘Happy New Year’ on Salman’s ‘Bigg Boss’

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he has no issues promoting his upcoming film ‘Happy New Year‘ on Salman Khan-hosted reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 8′.

The upcoming season of the show will start from September 21 and with SRK’s action comedy drama film set for an October end release, speculations are rife that the ‘Chennai Express’ star will share the stage with Salman to promote the movie.

Superstar Salman Khan has anchored ‘Bigg Boss’ for the past five seasons, but he says the immensely popular reality show is beyond his understanding.

“I have no idea about it! What you want to know even I want to know — how they (the contestants) will get along, what will be their tolerance level, how nice or bad they are…I don’t know,” Salman said of the forthcoming season.
