Contrary to reports that suggested that Amitabh Bachchan would be hosting a grand dinner for the who’s who of Bollywood at Film City, the Bachchan family is flying off to Maldives for some private time. While Aaradhya has designed a special hand-painted card, Aishwarya and Abhishek have planned a special yacht party.
As megastar Amitabh Bachchan turns 75 on October 11, Bollywood is abuzz with expectations about his birthday plans. But contrary to reports that suggested that he would be hosting a grand dinner for the who’s who of Bollywood at Film City, a Mid-Day report suggests that the Bachchan family is all set to fly off to Maldives for some private time.

Giving us a sneak peek into the sets of upcoming film, ‘Thugs Of Hindustan’, Amitabh Bachchan said that the set looks like a zombied region with the masked men and women. The cast and crew of ‘Thugs Of Hindustan’ have been advised to wear masks to avoid common cold on the sets.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently shooting for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ alongside superstar Aamir Khan here, says the cast and crew of the upcoming film have been advised to wear masks on the set after a few of them took leave due to common cold.

Amitabh Bachchan once again took to his Twitter handle and tweeted about the cause of Mumbai rains. He wrote, “The God’s they be angry again .. ! They thunder and lightning loud and now it pours here in Mumbai .. be safe remain in the house.”
The Mumbai rains have once again brought the city which never stops to a standstill. And for the megastar Amitabh Bachchan it is because the ‘Gods are angry’. The Pink actor took to his Twitter handle and asked the Mumbaikars to remain safe. He wrote, “The God’s they be angry again .. ! They thunder and lightning loud and now it pours here in Mumbai .. be safe remain in the house.” What drew attention to his post is that once again the actor posted a photo of himself with his tweet for which he was heavily trolled the last time. But unlike the last time, this photo had him bowing in front of the idol of a deity.

Moviegoers are in for a thrilling Friday as Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s Te3n will hit the big screen. The film chronicles Mr Bachchan’s quest to find his missing granddaughter with help from Nawazuddin, who plays a priest and Vidya Balan (in extended cameo role), who plays a cop. As the cold trail of his missing granddaughter is revived when a similar crime is committed, Big B embarks on a thrilling journey in the streets of Kolkata to find her. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, the director of Kahaani. Randeep Hooda, a former MMA artiste and Kajal Aggarwal’s romantic story Do Lafzo Ki Kahaani also releases today. The film is directed by Deepak Tijori. Hollywood is also all set to make India’s weekend a bit more thrilling with the release of The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist. The film is a sequel to 2013 film Conjuring and this time demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren come to England to investigate poltergeist activity in Enfield. Then there’s also Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Sam Claffin’s Me Before You, which is up for release. Punjabi film Once Upon A Time In Amritsar, Bengali films Parobash and Niyoti represent the regional section.

National Awards: Kangana, Amitabh Bachchan Win Top Honours

Actors Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan have won their third and fourth National Awards respectively. Kangana won Best Actress for Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Big B won Best Actor for Piku. Kangana, 29, also won the Best Actress National Award last year for Queen and the Best Supporting Award for Fashion in 2009. This is 73-year-old Mr Bachchan’s fourth win after Agneepath, Black and Paa.

The multi-lingual blockbuster Baahubali has won Best Feature Film and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been awarded Best Director for Bajirao Mastani, which won several other awards. Salman Khan‘s Bajrangi Bhaijaan won Best Wholesome Family Entertainer. Baahubali also won the award for Best Special Effects.

Kalki Koechlin won a Special Jury Award for her performance in Margarita, With A Straw. Tanvi Azmi won Best Supporting Actress for Bajirao Mastani. Nanak Shah Fakir won Best Film on National Integration. Masaan won Best Debut for a Director.

Visaranai won Best Tamil Film while Dum Laga Ke Haisha won Best Hindi Film.

Remo D’Souza won Best Choreography for Bajirao Mastani. The film also won Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and other honours.

Piku‘s Juhi Chaturvedi and Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ Himanshu Sharma shared the award for Best Screenplay and Dialogue. Vishal Bhardwaj won Best Adapted Screenplay for Talvar.
