Rakhi Sawant blows whistle on AIB controversy; Reveals that the video has been dubbed

The AIB roast has so far has been a host of controversies. There have been numerous complaints and opinions and FIRs and debates. But all that is history now.

Actress Rakhi Sawant, of ‘Bigg Boss‘ and ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ fame, has recently made a shocking revelation. In an interview, Rakhi claimed that AIB has ‘cheated’ their audience.

The abuses and expletives that were used on the stage at the ‘AIB Knockout’ were in fact never uttered by Karan Johar or Ranveer Singh at all, claims their ‘very good friend’ Rakhi. They were dubbed. Yes. You heard it right.

AIB Roast row: FIRs against Deepika, Sonakshi and 14 others

Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor and director Karan Johar have been named in a FIR registered by the Pune Police. In the FIR the stars have been accesed of collective AIB of obscene behaviour in a public place. YouTube too was named in the FIR for distributing the offensive content of the AIB Roast even that was held in Mumbai in December.
Earlier, the Maharashtra government and Mumbai police had initiated separate investigations into allegations of “abusive and filthy” language used by Bollywood director Karan Johar and actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh at an event.
The FIR has been filed under sections 292 (Distribution of obscene content or lascivious or appeals to the prurient interest), Section 294 (Obscene Act in public place) of the Indian Penal Code and section 67a of IT Act (Publishing or transmitting of material containing sexually explicit act, etc. in electronic form).

Now, Ram Gopal Verma ‘appreciates’ Karan Johar for AIB Knockout

After the controversial AIB Roast video was taken down from video sharing website YouTube, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has sent out a message of appreciation to his fellow filmmaker Karan Johar for taking part in the show.

“The AIB show is final proof that India has finally come of age and I truly appreciate Karan for taking the plunge or more correctly the leap,” Varma, who shares a love-hate relationship with the “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” maker, posted on micro-blogging website Twitter.

“Anyone who condemns Karan’s AIB Show whether from government or various organisations are just the figureheads of repressive regressions. The sheer popularity of the AIB also shud b a call to the censor board to wake up smell the coffee nd look out the window at a new India.

AIB Knockout: MNS threatens to boycott Johar, Arjun, Ranveer films

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has threatened to boycott the release of director-producer Karan Johar and actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh films in the state unless they tendered an “unconditional apology” for participating in the controversial comedy show AIB Knockout.

Amey Khopkar, President of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena film wing, said the organisers of the AIB Knockout too must tender unconditional apology.

He also demanded that the state government should ban such programmes from being organised.
