Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who starred opposite in superstar Salman Khan in 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan, says she feels “proud” to be part of the film, which has been chosen for a National Film Award.

“It’s one of the greatest films of its time. It spoke a lot about humanity, love, support and integrity. So, I’m very proud to be part of it. It was great working with Kabir (Khan) and Salman (Khan), who actually believed in the script and made it happen,” Kareena said at the press conference of her upcoming film Ki And Ka.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the story of an Indian man’s (Salman) journey to drop a speech-impaired girl (played by Harshaali Malhotra) back to her home in Pakistan.
The National Award is also an “encouragement” for Salman Khan Films, which stepped into production with the movie.
“Salman Khan Films is delighted to win the National Award and get this recognition from the government of India for our film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. This is our first film under the banner and it is a huge encouragement for us, and for the vision that we have for it,” said Amar Butala, COO, Salman Khan Films.
