After two days, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Dilwale is still ahead of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. Rohit Shetty action drama film made a little above Rs 41 crores, while Mr Bhansali’s film collected Rs 28 crores.
Bajirao Mastani‘s silver lining is that the film has witnessed a slight growth in collections whereas Dilwale collected the same as it did on the opening day.
Review-wise, Bajirao Mastani is ahead of Dilwale, with lead actor Ranveer Singh winning high praises for his portrayal of Maratha general Peshwa Bajirao I. In his review for NDTV, Saibal Chatterjee said: “Bajirao Mastani is Ranveer Singh‘s film. There is no missing the enormous hard work that has been done in order to get into the skin of the character.”
Bajirao Mastani also stars Deepika Paukone as Mastani, Bajirao’s second wife and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai, Bajirao’s first wife.
Team Dilwale also comprises actors Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
