Actor R Madhavan, who will soon be seen opposite a boxer in his upcoming film Saala Khadoos, said that the toughest part of the movie was to find a female pugilist who could also act.
Directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, the film features Madhavan as a boxing coach and also stars boxer Ritika Singh.
“The most difficult task for me was to find a girl who looks like a 17-year-old and is also a boxer and actor. All these things put together looked like an impossible task,” said Madhavan.
The Tanu Weds Manu actor said that he did not have to work hard on Ritika’s boxing skills as she already knew the moves perfectly.
“It was easy because we didn’t have to tell her anything about boxing. After every scene we used to tell her, nice performance, nice expression, but she was concerned whether her punches were good,” added Madhavan.
Saala Khadoos revolves around a coach, who prepares a young girl to create a place for herself in the field of boxing. It is scheduled to release on January 29. The film has been produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Madhavan.
