This flashbook photograph instagrammed by her cousin brother Arjun Kapoor is one that is likely to bring a smile on Sonam Kapoor‘s face.
While wishing Sonam on her birthday, Arjun shared this old overweight picture of himself, captioning it, “Happy birthday Sonam Kapoor, just had to throwback to remind u we have come a long way.”
And though he didn’t mention this in his post, Sonam herself weighed 86 kilos before becoming an actress and she lost over 30 kilos after Sanjay Leela Bhansali signed her for Saawariya.
They have indeed come a long way. Sonam is considered a fashion flag-bearer of sorts for Bollywood at international events such as the Cannes Film Festival. Arjun Kapoor has established himself as a powerhouse performer with films like 2 States and Finding Fanny, and has a slew of big banner films under his belt.
Arjun, who is the son of Anil Kapoor’s elder brother Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona, is known to be close to Sonam and her sister Rhea and often converses with them on Twitter.
The actor, who is just a few months younger than Sonam, will turn 30 on June 26.
