Actor Salman Khan‘s five year jail sentence in the 2002 hit-and-run case has left the fate of his two films this year uncertain. The 49-year-old actor has been juggling shoot schedules for director Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir – from where he flew home to appear in court for the verdict – and Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in Gujarat.
A Sessions Court in Mumbai pronounced the actor guilty of drunkenly driving over five pavement dwellers, killing one. He has been handed a five year jail term and given bail till Friday.
