The teaser trailer of filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee’s sleuth drama film Detective Byomesh Bakashy has generated a lot of interest among the audience. The director spoke to NDTV’s Pooja Talwaar on the sidelines of the 45th International Film Festival of India, in Goa, and talked about his version of the detective fiction and the film’s star Sushant Singh Rajput.
Dibakar Banerjee said that the Kai Po Che actor matched his idea of the fictional character to the T. He said that Sushant is perfect to portray the role of Byomkesh Bakshy on screen because he is the “most unlikely person” to play the part. “A detective is not something you should expect because that’s not a very good detective,” he reasoned.
