What started as a lot of pointless banter by two young gentlemen hosting the music launch of Farah Khan’s upcoming film Happy New Year, turned into an interesting and visually delightful extravaganza. Happy New Year. A heist film, stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah as a bunch of ‘losers’. With singer Neeti Mohan opening the show with the song Manwa Laage, the reins were passed on to North-Eastern musical stars Shillong Chamber Choir, members of whom finished what Neeti flagged off. Subsequently came singer Sukhwinder Singh to perform the song Satakli to a very excited and lively audience.
